PREP BASEBALL: Locker selected to All-State Games

Ferndale's Casey Locker will be Whatcom County's lone senior representative at the Class 2A-3A All-State Baseball Games this weekend in Yakima.

Locker, who played shortstop and pitched for the Golden Eagles, led the Northwest Conference with a .484 batting average this season. He also had 30 RBI, 30 runs scored, three home runs and eight stolen bases.

On the mound he was 6-3 with a 2.61 ERA and 43 strikeouts.

Sedro-Woolley second baseman Bobby Twedt will join Locker on the 3A squad, while Cedarcrest's Travis Cook and Cameron Padron and Lakewood's Jordan Stauffer are 2A representatives from the Northwest District.

The All-State Games will be played Saturday and Sunday, June 13-14, at Park Field in Yakima.
