Lynden High School will celebrate its successful spring sports campaign with a traditional fire truck ride through the city on Wednesday, June 3, beginning at 2:15 p.m.

The Lions' Class 2A state champion boys' track and field team, the Class 2A state champion boys' golf team, and the Class 2A state championship-winning girls' tennis doubles team of Brandi Benner and Jill Toronchuk will all be honored.

The boys' track team won its first state title in school history on Saturday, May 30, while the boys' golf team brought home its second state title of the decade on Thursday, May 28.

Benner and Toronchuk won their second consecutive state title on Saturday with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Squalicum's Andrea and Anne d'Aquino.

The two team titles were the third and fourth of the season for the school. Lynden also claimed a state football championship in the fall and a girls' basketball title in the winter.
