The Sedro-Woolley football team's season came to a sudden end with a 41-6 loss at Everett on Tuesday, Nov. 3, in a Class 3A Northwest District play-in game.
Everett moves on to face SPSL power Lakes in a state-qualifying game on Saturday, Nov. 7, while the Cubs head home with a 4-6 record.
Everett scored the game's first 35 points, including the first on Chase Herrick's 32-yard interception return off Sedro-Woolley quarterback Joe Janicki in the first quarter.
Herrick, who also rushed for 32 yards and passed for 76, added a 1-yard TD run in the second quarter.
Ian O'Bryan scored the Cubs' only points on a 14-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. The Everett defense limited Sedro-Woolley to 66 yards on 28 rushing attempts and 302 to 199 in total yards.
