Harvest at Stoney Ridge Farm

Thursday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m.

This is your first chance of the season to start playing with gingerbread. We are building haunted houses. One haunted house per sign-up. If there are 2 children (under 10) decorating it together, they may share all included items. Also, if a parent has a child that needs assistance, that is acceptable. When the child is 10 or older, there is a $10 charge for the additional person for one house.

Grandma's Creaky Attic Sale

Hellingham at The Upfront Theatre

Hellingham is a both hilarious and scary improvised murder mystery created by The Upfront Theatre. Shows at 8 and 10 p.m. Oct. 30-31. Each show brings a brand new cast of colorful characters created with the help of the audience at the beginning of the show. Watch the story unfold of an ordinary small town that turns upside down with mystery, suspicion and murder. Maybe you'll watch your favorite character get murdered... maybe they're the killer. Appropriate for all ages.

The Downtown Bellingham Partnership invites parents and children to join friends and neighbors from across the city in Bellingham's premier trick or treating event, Downtown Trick or Treat. Downtown merchants scare up a delightful array of treats for kids in costume. Last year more than 1,000 trick-or-treaters visited more than 125 businesses in this safe and festive Halloween alternative.

Halloween Portraits Downtown Bellingham

Trick-or treaters in downtown Bellingham on Halloween can capture their fun in a professional photograph. Portrait photographer Mark Turner will photograph trick-or-treating children in costume. Each child will receive a complimentary 5x7 portrait, and additional prints and packages may be ordered. Children to be photographed must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Portraits will be mailed about a week after Halloween.

The community dance group Dance Gallery will hold their first-ever Monster Mash, a collection of fun movement games for kids age 3 to 12 from 4-7 p.m. Kids (and their parents) are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy Bouncing Bats (a jumping challenge), Locomo (a tricky pathway game), Shape Museum (alternating moving wildly, freezing, and mirroring), Spider Says (like Simon Says, yet with a twist!), Wobbly Witches (fun with low balance beams and fitness disks), and Monster Mash (an ever-changing dancing game). At least one Dance Gallery dancer -in costume - will run each station.
