Many moms put in some serious effort whipping up meals for their families, so it’s about time those well-fed families returned the favor. Because no mom should have to cook on Mother’s Day, here are a few health-conscious and tasty recipe ideas to put together for a Sunday feast.

GRILLED VEGETABLES WITH BALSAMIC VINEGAR

Even if you’re not a big fan of vegetables, there’s something about the crisp black sear marks from a grill that livens up any veggie.

QUINOA VEGETABLE SALAD

Full of peas, carrots, tomatoes, spinach and hearty, couscous-like quinoa, this colorful salad would look great on any table.

ROAST CHICKEN WITH ROSEMARY

For a low-maintenance, high-flavor main course, nothing beats a roasted chicken. And if you’re lucky enough to have leftovers, the chicken is great the next day in salads or sandwiches.

CHEESE STICKS

You can’t go wrong with crispy, twisty cheese sticks. Made with puff pastry dough, sharp cheddar and spices twisted into a dense, crunchy breadstick, these are great for preparing in advance.

CHEESECAKE BARS

With low-fat cream cheese and smaller portions, these cheesecake bars are a simpler, healthier version of a classic, sumptuous dessert. Top it off with chocolate, caramel or a fruit of your choice to personalize the recipe for your tastes.
