Watch model trains, talk with train enthusiasts, and browse railroad artifacts and memorabilia during the 30th annual Model Train Show this weekend.
It's billed as one of the largest such exhibitions on the West Coast from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Oct. 5, in the Henry Jansen Ag Building at the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds, 775 Front St., Lynden.
It's sponsored by the Lions Club as a benefit for the group's philanthropic work. The event also features workshops and retail booths run by dealers.
Admission is $7 for those 12 and older, $6 for seniors, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children younger than 6 years (with an adult).
