It's your last chance this season to catch a ride on a restored railroad "speeder," an enclosed motor car used for track maintenance from the 1920s to the 1980s.
Bellingham Railway Museum offers the speeder rides in summer on a refurbished length of track along Orchard Place northeast of the Meridian Street-Squalicum Parkway intersection, near the Jekyll and Hyde deli and behind Bellingham Cold Storage.
Final rides are offered 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, and Saturday, Aug. 31.
Cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children. For more information, call 360-393-7540 or go to bellinghamrailwaymuseum.org.
