Music producer Kodak To Graph (born Mikey Maleki in 1991) performs at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at the Wild Buffalo, 208 W. Holly St.
He’s an Iranian-American producer from the swamps of Florida, now living in Los Angeles and making meticulous electronica with nature elements — he records birds, water, and other natural sounds and puts them in his songs, with influences that range from Ravi Shakar to Lil Wayne.
Maleki’s earliest memories of music came via his parents; his father, who exposed him to traditional Persian folk music as well as to psychedelic and pop; and his mother, who schooled him in the American singer-songwriter canon.
