McAuley kicks off Port of Bellingham campaign Wednesday

Port of Bellingham Commission candidate Mike McAuley is inviting the public to his campaign kickoff Wednesday, June 24.

McAuley said in his online invitation that his challenge to incumbent Commissioner Doug Smith "may be the most important race north of Everett in 2009." Longtime commercial fisherman Doug Karlberg is also seeking the seat.

McAuley's kickoff starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Blue Horse Gallery, 301 W. Holly St., Bellingham.
