Fleetwood now unopposed for Bellingham City Council seat

BELLINGHAM - Local poet Yoshe Revelle has dropped out of the City Council At-Large race, effectively giving the seat to Whatcom County Councilman Seth Fleetwood, his only opponent.

Revelle, 49, said he decided to focus his time and energy on the volunteer work he does at the Bellingham Food Bank, and he's preparing to volunteer at Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services of Whatcom County. He added that he knows Fleetwood, whom he said will "fill the position admirably."

Revelle last challenged, and lost to, state Rep. Dave Quall, D-Mount Vernon, as a Republican after missing the deadline to file as an Independent.
