Guerin, Bylsma lead in Nooksack council races

NOOKSACK - Early election results Tuesday, Nov. 3, showed incumbents winning re-election to City Council seats.

Peter Lubetich was challenging Linda Bylsma for her Position 2 seat on Nooksack City Council. Bylsma was winning her seat with nearly 81 percent of the vote. Shea helped to plan the Nooksack City Park.

Incumbent Rena Guerin, defending her Position 1 seat against Daniel Bennett, was leading with almost 59 percent of the vote, compared to Bennett's more than 41 percent. Guerin has spent five years on the council.
