Ferndale City Council races too close to call after early results

The races for two spots on the Ferndale City Council were too close to call Tuesday, Nov. 3, with two incumbents holding narrow leads, according to early returns from the Whatcom County Auditor's Office.
With 1,366 ballots counted, incumbent Keith Olson was barely leading challenger Brent Goodrich, 690 votes to 676.
With 1,457 ballots counted, incumbent Ken Downey was leading challenger Jon Mutchler, 739 votes to 718 votes.
