Grand opening event set for Acupuncture Health Center

The Acupuncture Health Center, formerly BodyMind Center, is celebrating its grand opening April 4 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The celebration will have live music by Cabin Fever and Indian food by the Curry House. The event will take place at the center’s new location, a former schoolhouse at 1303 Astor St.

The Acupuncture Health Center began in Fairhaven eight years ago as a clinic with two treatment rooms and one acupuncturist, Scott Paglia. In February, the clinic relocated to Astor Street. The new facility features three private treatment rooms with heated beds and a group treatment room.

Additionally, Marie Tsiang, acupuncturist, has joined AHC as the women’s health specialist.

The center also provides a traditional Chinese medical clinic, offering hundreds of herbal formulas.

The Acupuncture Health Center is a part of the Foundation for Wellness Professionals, a volunteer and nonprofit association of health-care professionals that deliver educational workshops on health and wellness.
