Exit Realty hires new sales, office staff

Several people have recently been hired to work at Exit Realty.

Sue Stremler, office manager, comes to the company with 17 years experience as past executive officer for the Whatcom County Association of Realtors having experience in local, state and the national association in leadership and management. She will be serving Exit agents in educational opportunities and act as key support to the general office procedures.

Jenny Garfield is the front desk manager with background experience in real estate office management locally. Garfield attended Whatcom Community College.

Layne Southcott is a sales associate. Southcott will be pursuing residential, commercial, and leased real estate sales. He joins Exit with a background in marketing and sales management at national levels.

Judy Schneider has joined Exit Realty and brings with knowledge of the county and three years experience real estate sales. She specializes in residential home and land throughout the county.

Lisa Dillon has been a real estate professional in Whatcom County for the past 12 years. Dillon focuses on first-time homebuyers and relocations families.

Jordan Tarridas has past experience in sales and building industry. He has over 4 years of experience in cabinet design work, sales, and functional layout planning for homes. Tarridas has applied this expertise to helping buyers and sellers of homes. He is specializing in representing buyers and sellers of new constructions homes and land.

MARTIN JOINS ZAZEN SALON SPA

Melissa Martin has joined Zazen Salon Spa in Bellingham.

She has training from the Gene Jaurez Academy in Seattle, Toni & Guy and American Crew schools. Her specialty is protein-bond hair extensions and she is licensed to do cuts, color, manicures and pedicures.

Martin's arrival comes on the heels of Zazen's new expansion of the spa and salon space. Zazen offers couples massage, state-of-the-art pedicure chairs and gel nails among other salon and spa services.

ATNEOSEN JOINS THRIVENT FINANCIAL OFFICE

Keith Atneosen recently joined the Bellingham office of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Atneosen became a Thrivent Financial representative in 2005, serving members in Illinois. A Western Washington University graduate, he now has teamed with Thrivent Financial Consultant Holly Whittle. Their office is located at 805 Dupont St., Suite 2 and offers Lutherans and their families financial strategies and a wide range of financial products.

Atneosen has earned the Fraternal Insurance Counselor designation and is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He also is a member of the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors.

GLASS ARTIST JOINS CRAFT, INC.

Kristi Thorndike-Kent has joined Crafty, Inc.

Crafty, Inc. is a cooperative of about 30 local and regional artists and crafts people located at 205 E. Chestnut St. in Bellingham.

Thorndike-Kent started her own glass company, Glassworks Northwest, nearly two years ago. Her handcrafted creations in glass - both fused-glass and glass-mosaic work - are for sale at Crafty, Inc., as well as at the Chuckanut Bay Gallery, Boundary Bay Brewery, at a variety of northwest-area art festivals and on her Web site www.glassworksnorthwest.com.

Crafty, Inc. is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

COUNTRY FINANCIAL OFFICE OPENS IN LYNDEN

Country Financial Agents Lesa Boxx and Leonard Corneto have opened a new office at 400 Liberty St. in Lynden.

As Country agents, they can provide a full range of insurance and financial services, including auto, home, life and long term care insurance, annuities, mutual funds and college savings plans.

Boxx, a resident of Ferndale, joined Country as an agent in 2007.

Corneto of Lynden joined Country in 2005. He earned a bachelor's degree in communications from California State University, Northridge.
