Michael X. Ford is the new managing broker of the John L. Scott Real Estate Bellingham office.
Ford comes to Bellingham from the John L. Scott Burien office, where he was also managing broker.
Ford started his real estate career in 1994 at the John L. Scott Laurelhurst office. In 2000, he moved to the John L. Scott Belltown office where he was managing broker. In 2005, Ford decided to join Cascade Partners, LLC, returning to John L. Scott in January 2008.

Frakes receives designation
Andrea Frakes of Booth Insurance Agency recently completed her Certified Professional Representative designation with Allstate Insurance Company.
Frakes comes to Allstate from a background in mortgage lending. She was born and raised in Whatcom County and is a graduate of Lynden High School.

Certification earned by pair
Ted Molaski and Laurie Bertsche of Performance Physical Therapy are now board-certified as clinical specialists in orthopedic physical therapy as designated by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
Molaski recently completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Simmons College in Boston, Mass., prior to sitting for the board examination. He has been at Performance Physical Therapy for 10 years treating both orthopedic and sports patients.
Bertsche has extensive experience with injured workers. Over the past number of years she has focused her continuing education in the outpatient setting on orthopedics and spine issues.

Public policy coordinator hired
Stephanie Kountouros has been hired by Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood for the position of Public Policy Coordinator. Kountouros’ experience includes radio-television and social service work with domestic violence, people living with AIDS, chemical dependency and mental health as well as child survivors of abuse and street youth.
Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood has been providing health care, education and advocacy services for women, men and teenagers in Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan counties since 1969.
