closeRuss and Millie Westhaver of Bellingham will celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary on July 6. Soon after they met, the couple was married at the home of the bride’s grandmother in Detroit, Mich.
They first brought their young family to Bellingham in 1951 There was a move back to Michigan, then in 1961 they returned, certain that Bellingham was the best place to raise the family. Over the years they produced six children.
Together they own Pacific Trim and Floor Supply. Russ is beginning to consider retirement, so you may now find him on the golf course more frequently. Millie is a homebody, and loves just spending time with her man. They enjoy traveling, are involved with the Moose Lodge International, and actively support other community service programs.
A blind date brought the two together. As Millie likes to say, "Who would have thought a blind date would last this long?"
