Bob and Sharon Wiersma of Grandview, Wash. formerly of Lynden, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 19, 2009, with a family dinner at Snipe's Mountain Restaurant in Sunnyside. The Wiersma's were married in Sumas on June 18, 1959. Their children are Greg and Patsey Wiersma, Shelley and Dave Leenders of Lynden and Jeff and Julie Wiersma of Outlook. They have 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Bob and Sharon owned and operated the Sunnyside Livestock Market for many years and are now enjoying retirement together.
