Ronni Leigh Alvis and Keith Ryan Hoekema announce their engagement and plans for a July 19th wedding at Faith Christian Fellowship in Everson. The prospective bride is the daughter of Dan and Brenda Law of Bellingham and Don Alvis of Blaine. She graduated from Nooksack Valley High School and is employed by Haggen. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Percy and Lois Hoekema of Everson. He graduated from Lynden Christian High School and Bellingham Technical College and is employed by Emerson Electric in Ferendale. The couple met through mutual friends. The proposal took place at a picinic at the river.
