Herbert Hatch
Herbert Hatch will celebrate his 90th birthday on February 11, 2012, with a no-gift open house from 2 to 4 at the Sumas Advent Christian Church, 125 Front St., Sumas.
Herb was born in Nooksack WA, Feb 9, 1922, and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1941. He was drafted in the Army Air Force in 1942, where he served 2 1/2 years. Herb returned to Bellingham in Dec. 1945, worked in the Bellingham Plywood plant and married his first wife, Ruth Pering, in 1947. He retired from Bellingham Parks Dept. in 1984. His first wife died in 1997 and he married Jan in 1999, moved to Sumas and is enjoying his extended family. Herb keeps busy in his woodworking shop.

Married February 3, 1962, Blaine Wa. Now retired, they enjoy gardening and hot rods.
They have two daughters Melinda (Jennifer) Belfair, WA; Brenda (Bob) Bellingham, WA; Three granddaughters and one Great granddaughter due in May.

Mikael Keoki Apana and Brittany LeeAnn Cox
Russell and Lori Apana of Ferndale are proud to announce the marriage of their son Mikael Keoki Apana to Brittany LeeAnn Cox, daughter of Johnny Cox of Williams and Marci Levie of Scottsdale,AZ. The couple were wed at Stonebridge Manor in Arizona on November 12th, 2011.
Mikael's brother, R.J. Apana, served as Best Man while cousin Bryce Oxford was the Groomsman. Brittany's childhood friend, Deanna Peters, was the Matron of Honor while college friend Bethany Fee served as a Bridesmaid. Bryan Cox and David Watts were the Armsmen.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon on the Island of St. Lucia.
Mikael is currently employed as a Lead Operating Engineer for Jones Lang LaSalle in Phoenix. Brittany works as the Office Coordinator at NetApp in Scottsdale,AZ.
The couple resides in Phoenix, AZ.
A Luau reception is being planned for summer 2012.

Tom and Gina Lingbloom of Bellingham and Bob and Virginia Parker of Ketchum, Idaho are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Anna Kipp Lingbloom and Robert Andrew Parker. Anna graduated from the University of Portland and is employed as Project Manager at Carson International in Ketchum. Robert graduated from the University of New Hampshire and is employed as Vice President of Asset Management at VP Companies in Ketchum. The couple are planning a September wedding in Idaho.
