Born November 13, 1919 Alice will celebrate her 90th birthday with family today. Her children are Deanna (Watson) and Bob, Lou LaMont and Jeri, and the late Allen LaMont and Sue. She has 7 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. We love you, Mom.

Martin & Lindsay Spencer made it to 30 years!! They were married in Little Heath, Hertfordshire, England on November 10th 1979. A fun celebration was enjoyed with friends at Scotty Browns. Their children are Carly and Ben Spencer both of Bellingham.
Kodi Reidell and Adam Young
Kodi Gene Mertes Reidell & Adam Bryant Young, were united in marriage by their friend, Maureen Stewart, on August 8, 2009, at Tail Skid Meadows in Custer, WA. The bride is the daughter of Kathy Reidell & Jerry Reidell both of Bellingham. The bridegroom's parents are Leslie & Jack Tiemersma of Bellingham and Fred & Diane Young of Omak, WA. Lindsay Leonard served as maid of honor. Felicia Davis & Ashley Handshew were bridesmaids. Alex Carter served as best man. Dan Michaelson & Michael Nelson were groomsmen. Teija & Kalen Gerlach were flower girl and ring bearer. Kodi is a graduate of Squalicum High & BTC, and is employed with Les Schwab. Adam is a graduate of Squalicum High & WWU, and is employed at Ryzex. The couple will reside in the house they just bought in Nooksack, WA.
Robin DeVries and Troy Taubenheim
Robin DeVries and Troy Taubenheim announce their engagement and plans for a February 12, 2010 wedding in Lynden. Robin is the daughter of Richard and Pamela DeVries of Lynden and is employed by Whatcom Educational Credit Union. Troy is the son of James and Barbara Taubenheim of Lynden and is employed by the Lynden and Blaine School Districts.
Helen Bame
Helen turns 90 on 15 Nov. 2009 and will celebrate with an open house at 216 Northshore Dr. from 1:30-3:30 on the 15th. Hosted by her children, Donna Kuiken, Dean and Judy Bame and Ron and Diane Wilson. No gifts please.
Inez (Askland) Sorenson Berg
Open House 90th Birthday Party, Immanuel Bible Church, 2000 W. North St., Bellingham, 1-4 pm Saturday, Nov. 14. A visual presentation of her life will be shown at 2 pm. Inez was born at home in Glen Echo, which was the center of her life until she married neighbor Helmer Sorenson in 1939. They moved to Bremerton and returned to Bellingham in 1946. Her four girls, Kathy Hayes and Barbara Johnson of Bellingham, Noreen Cooper of Pt. Roberts and Lori (Ben) Adderly of Lynden were raised at Immanuel Bible Church, where Inez is a charter member. For 51 years, Inez has been a house mother for some 600 college girls at Western Manor, 805 N. Garden St. Helmer died in 1987 and Inez later married another Glen Echo neighbor, Jim Berg. She and Jim have enjoyed many travels together (especially cruising).
William (Bill) Anderson
Bill will celebrate his 80th birthday Nov. 11th at his home with his family at 4915 Samish Way #1. Bill grew up in Point Roberts. He moved to Bellingham in 1952 where he met his wife Mary (Marsh). They have 4 children, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Bill worked for the Port of Bellingham as assistant director of finance & administration until he retired in 1985. Coming from a family of fishermen, he can be found most days down at the waterfront checking out the boats.
