From the boss: "Anthony's restaurants have achieved national recognition. Anthony's is proud of its continuing commitment to quality and value, which has made it the leader for fresh Northwest seafood throughout the Puget Sound." Lane Hoss, marketing

Reader rave: "It's a warm and inviting atmosphere." MacKenzie Lynch, Bellingham. Highlights: The first Anthony's HomePort opened in 1976 in Kirkland on the shores of Lake Washington. Like the other restaurants in the chain, the Bellingham site at Squalicum Harbor (opened in 2001) capitalizes on stunning scenery and its water-side setting. Bellingham gardener extraordinaire Carol Schuette maintains the lush landscaping with bright flowers and fountain grasses that catch sea breezes.

With its own wholesale seafood company at Seattle's Pier 91, the chain serves up stupendously fresh Alaskan and Canadian halibut, Copper River and Yukon River salmon, mahi mahi, big eye and yellow fin ahi, Hawaiian snapper, ono, petrale sole, rockfish, lingcod, clams, mussels and local oysters. As well as the local produce that makes Northwest cuisine singular.
