Chuckanut Brewery in Bellingham won both a Gold and Silver Award for its lager beers from the North American Beer Awards Competition, held in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Taking the gold (first place) was Chuckanut Dunkel in the Munich Dark category. The silver award (second place) was given to Chuckanut Strong Bock in the Traditional Bock category.
The North American Beer Awards is sanctioned by the North American Brewers Association and provides an opportunity for beers to be judged by qualified judges against the best beers in the country. For more information on the North American Beer Awards, visit northamericanbrewers.org.
Celebrating its first anniversary on July 18th, Chuckanut Brewery has brewed more than 30 different types of ales and lager beers. Six beers are on tap at Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen, but the brewery also provides beer to accounts around Bellingham, La Conner, Mount Vernon, and the Greater Seattle area. Chuckanut beer is only available in kegs and "to go" in growlers at the kitchen.
Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen, located in Bellingham, is a brewery with a restaurant offering a full service menu, ales, organic ales, and lager beers brewed on site at 601 W. Holly St.
