Oasis Physical Therapy now offers massage

Oasis Physical Therapy is now offering massage therapy with licensed massage practitioner Shay Shapiro.

Shay has been practicing massage for three years and attended Spectrum Center School of Massage in 2006. In her practice, she utilizes her knowledge of soft-tissue injury clinical treatments, deep-tissue massage, myofascial release, and Swedish massage. Her massage therapy background includes working at a Bikram Yoga Studio located in Mount Vernon, a position as a lead massage therapist and trainer at Escape Day Spa, and extensive experience working with injury treatments.

Oasis Physical Therapy and Pilates is located at 301 West Holly St. in Bellingham in a shared Pilates studio with Esteem Pilate. It is owned by physical therapist Sidney Anderson.

MOSS ADAMS' LEGG SPEAKS AT CPA CONFERENCE

Max Legg, Moss Adams LLP Partner, was a featured speaker at The Washington State Society of CPAs Annual 2009 International Tax Conference in Seattle on May 1.

Max Legg, an International Tax Partner in the firms' Bellingham office, presented "U.S. Tax Considerations in Setting Up and Operating a New Foreign Entity." Legg spoke about what professionals need to know to assist clients with planning and establishing new foreign entities and understand the related income tax reporting and information disclosure requirements.

The goal of the conference was to help tax advisors, CPAs, attorneys, financial officers and other tax professionals navigate the complexities involved with international tax issues. The conference qualifies for 8.0 Technical CPE credit.

WACHOVIA'S PYLES EARNS CERTIFICATION

James Pyles, financial advisor with Wachovia Securities, LLC in Barkley Village, has earned the right to use the Certified Financial Planner designation by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.

Susan Stecher of RE/MAX Whatcom County recently earned the designations of certified short-sale professional and certified distressed property expert.

GEOENGINEERS' GORDON ADDS PORTLAND OFFICE

J. Robert Gordon, managing principal of GeoEngineers' Bellingham office and Pacific Northwest Regional Manager, has added GeoEngineers' Portland office to his region.

Gordon now manages operations in Bellingham, Everett, Seattle, Redmond, Tacoma, Port Orchard and Portland. This region includes the largest number of staff of the company's three regions and incorporates GeoEngineers' corporate headquarters in Seattle.
