Bellingham scuba business lands Western Washington contract

Bellingham-based Gone Diving has been awarded a contract to teach scuba for Western Washington University students, staff and faculty.

Charlynn Sutton, owner/instructor of Gone Diving, is working with Frederick Collins, the Associated Students' Outdoor Center Manager, on setting up entry-level scuba certification classes to begin in Fall/Winter session.

The Outdoor Center provides a variety of outdoor-related opportunities and activities for all students, faculty, staff and alumni. Scuba has not been taught at Western for 35 years, according to a company press release.

Gone Diving is located at 1740 Iowa St.. Store hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
