A Bellingham-based company recently unveiled two new products at an international conference.

At the 2009 Solar Power International Expo in Anaheim, Calif., Alpha Energy featured its new line of Solar Deep Cycle batteries and a Solar/Wind Hybrid Power Supply Configurator.

Designed for easy integration, AlphaCell IGL batteries come ready to support a system right out of the box. Featuring a silver alloy composition, increased runtime and maintenance-free threaded inserts, IGL batteries provide optimum performance in grid-tied and off-grid renewable energy applications, according to a company press release.

Alpha Energy's Hybrid Power Supply Configurator takes customers through a multiple-step process to determine their renewable energy powering requirements. It helps users determine their solar insolation value, their location's wind resource, their wattage and voltage requirements, as well as their system mounting and equipment needs.

"This great new utility gives customers an easy way to see how they can put solar and wind power to work for them," said Drew Zogby, President and chief operating officer of Alpha Technologies.

Alpha Energy is a member of The Alpha Group and a division of Alpha Technologies. For details about the company, visit alpha.com.
