LEGION BASEBALL: Post 7 AA wins two

The Bellingham Post 7 AA Legion baseball team earned two wins Friday, July 10, at the Sun City Tournament in Yakima.

In the 14-8 opening win over Bothell, Quin Moore (5-2) pitched a complete game to earn the win, Elijah Christie was 2 for 4 with three runs and an RBI, John Albert was 2 for 5 with two runs and four RBI and Andrew Forhan was 3 for 3 with a run and two RBI.

In the 12-3 win over Moscow, Ben Fox (1-0) pitched a complete-game, 3-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks in his first start of the season.

Christie was 2 for 3 with three runs and a double, Albert was 2 for 3 with two runs and three RBI, Sean Hagerty was 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI, Tanner Krysinski was 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI and Chris Shank was 1 for 3 with two runs, an RBI and a home run.

Post 7 (23-6) continues at the tournament Saturday, July 11, with a 10 a.m. game against Franklin Pierce.
