LEGION BASEBALL: Post 7 earns win at White Rock

The Bellingham Post 7 Senior Legion baseball team only managed five hits but pulled off a 7-6 win at White Rock, B.C., on Tuesday, June 30.

Tyler Lingbloom was 2 for 2 with a two-run home run and Jake Hoffman was 1 for 3 with an RBI.

Assistant coach for the Bellingham team, Jeff Bearden, said White Rock gave Post 7 (17-9-1) a bit of help.

"(White Rock) had a few walks and the three errors didn't help them any," Bearden said in a phone interview. "It kind of extended a couple innings for us."

Kyle McKay pitched the first four innings and Marcus Inge (2-2) pitched the last three to earn the win.

Post 7 hosts the Skagit Sox at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Sehome High School.
