PREP BOYS' SOCCER PREVIEW: Meridian Trojans

Coach: Joe Spencer

Last year: Meridian finished seventh in the Northwest Conference, but went on to finish second in the Class 1A Sub-District tourney and third in the Bi-District tourney to advance to state. The Trojans lost in the first round to finish 13-9.

Players to watch: Dakota Huntley, Jr., GK; Izzy Ryan, Sr., Mid; Ryder Chance, Sr., For; Chris Couweleers, Sr., Def.

Outlook: The Trojans are sticking to what worked for them last year - taking it one game at a time. Meridian returns 14 of its 16 players and has six sophomores in the mix. Coach Joe Spencer said the league will prepare the Trojans well for another run at the postseason.
