After throwing for Washington state eight-man football records in yards and touchdowns, it should come as no surprise that Lummi quarterback Dustin Tom was selected the Most Outstanding Player on the All-Pacific Coast League released Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Tom finished the season with 5,268 yards passing and 64 touchdowns and helped lead the Blackhawks to the first round of the Class 1B state playoffs. Tom was also a second-team selection on defense at linebacker on the all-PCL team, which is selected by the conference's coaches.

Tom's leading receivers also joined him on the first team. Gale Jefferson led the team with 2,087 yards receiving and 25 touchdowns, while Ray Jefferson added 856 yards and nine TDs.

Lineman Nelson Montenegro was also a first-team pick on offense, while Tony Washington (646 total yards, seven TDs) was a selected to the second team.

Gale Jefferson was selected first-team all-PCL at defensive back and was a co-winner of the Special Teams Player of the Year, along with Lopez's Kevin Dengler.

Washington joined Jefferson on the first-team defense at defensive end, while linebacker Jeremy Roberts and Montenegro on the defensive line were second-team picks.
