The Sehome girls' and boys' cross country teams continue to sweep.
After winning both Class 2A State titles in Pasco on Nov. 8, the Mariners also swept the All-Northwest Conference top honors.
Sehome's Scott Carlyle as well as Annie Moore were both named MVP.
"Scott is a young, raw talent," Sehome co-coach Mark Kerr said in a phone interview. "We're really not sure how far that talent will take him...(With Annie) coaches and athletes around the county recognize her ability to go out and dominate a race."
Mimi Kriger, Alanna Steele, Hannah McKenzie and Gabby Vigh all received first team honors for the Mariners.
Sehome also landed two runners on the boys' first team in Clinton Overman and Garrett Dorough.
The Mariners finished the season with 45 boys and 40 girls on the roster, all competing for a Top-7 varsity spot. Kerr said the team competition spills into the team recognition.
"Both groups were able to race well and win state titles this year," Kerr said. "You would expect them to be filling into the first team."
Three runners represent the Squalicum girls' team on the first team list in Sophie Curl, Claire Delbecq and Tyler Franzen. While Marc Fuhrmeister and Dzmitry Ryzhkou led the Storm on the boys' first team.
Becca Friday and Molly Leischner were first team honorees from Bellingham while Kiersten Sigfusson was the lone selection from Blaine.
Blaine's Tim Bradley and Mount Baker's Connor Williams were both selected to the first team. Burlington-Eidson led the boys' selections, with Tyler Williams, Connor Whan, Antonio Morales and Nathan Power all landing on the first team.
