SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. --- Western Washington University showed near perfect scoring balance as four of its starters had 11 points each in a 67-52 victory over San Francisco State University in a non-league women's basketball game Saturday.

The Vikings are now 2-0 after opening their season Friday with an 88-55 win at Cal State East Bay.

Center Jessica Summers, forward Willow Cabe, shooting guard Amanda Dunbar, and point guard Ashley Fenimore each had 11 points for Western, and guard Megan Pinske added nine.

Summers had 10 rebounds and three blocked shots, both game highs, and Cabe grabbed nine rebounds. Cabe and Fenimore each hit three 3-pointers and Dunbar had two. Summers, Dunbar and Pinske also were all credited with four assists.

Western went out to an 18-8 lead in the first nine minutes, Dunbar hitting two 3-pointers and reserves Erika Ramstead and Krystal Robinson each scoring four points during the run.

SFSU rallied and was within two, 30-28, with 1:11 left in the first half, but Fenimore hit a 3 to put the Vikings up by five, 33-28, at halftime.

Western tallied the first nine points of the second half, holding the Gators scoreless for over seven minutes, in taking a 42-31 advantage with 12:47 remaining. SFSU never got closer than nine after that, and the Vikings' biggest lead was the final score as Cabe closed out the scoring with a 3-pointer.

Western held SFSU to 33.3 percent (8-of-24) field-goal shooting in the second half, and Gators had 27 turnovers in the game.

The Vikings next play in their own 13th annual Lynda Goodrich Classic, meeting Notre Dame de Namur (Calif.) on Friday, Nov. 27, and Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) on Saturday, Nov. 28.

SFSU, which fell to 2-3, was led by Donisha Tate with a game-high 13 points and nine rebounds.
