A few more area swimmers will have a chance to compete at this weekend's state tournament.

Squalicum also had four divers receive wildcard berths to the state event - Leah Strickling, Tori Franzen, Anna Hawes, Cheyenne Galindo - while Sehome's Katie Davis also got an invitation.

Also of note, Squalicum's 200 medley relay earned the first seed and Ali Fisher will be the top seed in the 50 freestyle. Sehome's freestyle relay team earned a second seed.

The Mariners' Anna Miksovsky will join her teammate Maurer in the 200 freestyle this weekend, too.

Bellingham's Jennifer Rodgers earned an invitation in the 200 individual medley race.

Lynden landed two wildcard entries for relay events - the 200 and 400 freestyle relays - and Jasmynne Umbaugh will represent the Lions in the 100 backstroke .

Action starts with the preliminaries at 2:45 p.m. Friday. The top 12 swimmers in each event qualify for Saturday, with the top six locking into the finals. Final swims will be held on Saturday, starting at 5:15 p.m.
