Reserve guard Cameron Severson led the Western Washington men's basketball team with a career-high 19 points to spur the Vikings to a 71-51 win over San Francisco State at the Disney Tip-off Classic at the Anaheim Convention Center on Sunday, Nov. 1.
Cameron connected on 5-of-8 field goals and made 9-of-10 free throws, scoring 11 points in the first half. Forward Michael Duty added 13 points and eight rebounds while Zach Bruce grabbed a team-high rebounds.
The Vikings, who made 19-of-21 free throws, finished the tourney at 2-1, opening with a 94-70 win over Grand Canyon on Friday, and losing, 71-58, to Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday.
Western, the defending Great Northwest Athletic Conference champion, next play two home exhibition games, beginning with Quest BC on Monday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m.
