SKAGIT SPEEDWAY: Whitney takes checkered flag to widen points lead

Jesse Whitney won the Associated Asphalt 410 Sprints on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Skagit Speedway, widening his lead over Colton Heath in the points battle.

Jason Solwold took third from his seventh starting spot and Tayler Malsam finished third.

Also picking up Main Event wins were Mike Melwicks in the Budweiser 360's, Kelsey Carpenter in the Cook Road Shell Sportsman Sprints and Ken Higby in the Outlaw Hornets.

Melwicks won his third straight 25-lap Main Event.
