Whatcom County is increasingly a destination spot for the performing and visual arts. With our city's ongoing development of the Campaign for the Arts (artsdistrictbellingham.net), we've seen major construction for Whatcom Museum's new Art & Children's Museum and the refurbishing of Mount Baker Theatre.

Here's a partial list of arts events coming up this year in our area. Always check with the venue to be sure the performance or event hasn't been canceled or changed. Check Thursday's Take Five arts and entertainment magazine for event details, or go online to http://calendar.bellinghamherald.com.
