For thousands of students across Whatcom County, the recent warm weather is a reminder that summer vacation is just around the corner.

Starting Thursday, June 4, schools will begin releasing students for months of vacation. Many of the public school districts had to delay the last day of school due to snow in December and widespread flooding in January.

School and district offices may remain open on various dates throughout the summer. Contact your school or school district for up-to-date information.

The last day of class for schools across Whatcom County is as follows:

Thursday, June 4: Lynden Christian Schools.

Friday, June 5: Baker View Christian School, Fairhaven Girls' School.

Wednesday, June 10: Assumption Catholic School, Whatcom Day Academy.

Thursday, June 11: Bayside Montessori School.

Friday, June 12: Blaine, Lynden and Nooksack Valley school districts, Bellingham Christian School, Cedar Tree Montessori School, Wheels of Life School, Bellingham Cooperative School, Gardenview Montessori School, WellSpring Community School, Whatcom Hills Waldorf School and Western Washington University.

Tuesday, June 16: Meridian School District and St. Paul's Academy.

Thursday, June 18: Bellingham School District.

Friday, June 19: Ferndale and Mount Baker school districts, Pioneer Meadows Montessori School and Whatcom Community College.

Tuesday, June 23: Bellingham Technical College.
