Troy O'Neill scored Burlington-Edison's only touchdown on a fullback pass from Cole Sager, but it was all the Tigers needed as they snuck past Mount Vernon 10-3 at the annual Battle of the Bridge on Friday, Oct. 10, in Mount Vernon.

Burlington-Edison (6-0) remains undefeated with the win and gets another year of bragging rights over their Class 3A neighbors to the south. It's the fifth win in a row for the Tigers in the series. The loss was Mount Vernon's (2-4) third straight this season.

Friday's game marked the 103rd meeting between the Bulldogs and Burlington-Edison.
