closeJeff Coston won the Pacific Northwest Senior PGA Championship sectional for the third straight time on Friday, Sept. 5, with a 1-over 73 at Tualatin Country Club in Tualatin, Ore.
Coston, a pro at Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club, finished with a two-day 3-under 141 and qualified for the National PGA Senior Pro Championship - a tournament he was already qualified for - on Oct. 2-5 at Palm Springs, Calif.
Coston, who locked up the Northwest Senior Player of the Year award on Friday, said he has no time to rest with the Northwest Open starting Tuesday Sept. 16, at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland and some other pressing duties.
"I'm teaching tomorrow," he said while traveling back home. "I have a lot on the slate this fall, so I'm excited about that."
