BELLINGHAM � Well-known guitarist Andy Timmons, who opened for KISS and Alice Cooper as a member of the pop-metal band Danger Danger in the early �90s, will hold a free guitar clinic Friday, Aug. 22, at Mojo Music Discount.

Starting at 7 p.m., Timmons will give an in-store performance, demonstrate how to use Mesa/Boogie amplifiers and sign autographs afterward. The store is at 2626 Meridian St.

Also, student bands from the Mojo School of Music will perform at the Summer Jams Concert in Maritime Heritage Park amphitheater, from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23.
