The Western Washington University volleyball team is picking up the 2008 season just about where it left off last year.
The Vikings are ranked No. 10 in the CBS College Sports Network/American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Coaches Top 25 Preseason Poll released on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Western, which finished last season ranked No. 2 in the nation after losing in the national championship match, received one first place vote in the preseason poll. Defending national champion Concordia-St. Paul will start the season as the top ranked team, collecting 35 first-place votes.
