closeWhatcom Community College will be offering a course geared toward environmentally friendly practices.
The Sustainable Building Advisor Certificate Course is designed for people in the construction industry. It will have nine two-day sessions over nine months and prepares professionals to take the Certified Sustainable Building Advisor exam. The early-bird deadline for discounted registration is Sept. 3.
The course will look at a variety of topics around green building concepts, including identifying cost-effective solutions to energy costs, climate change and water quality issues; the ever-changing regulatory environment and taking advantage of incentives and programs to save money.
