closeThe Placid Pet, a Bellingham business that offers professional pet care services in Whatcom and Skagit counties, is increasing its donations to some local nonprofit agencies.
The company will donate one-half of 1 percent of its gross receipts each month to The Grateful Dog Off-Leash Association. Placid Pet also will continue to donate 1 percent of its gross receipts to the Alternative Humane Society and 1 percent to the Whatcom Humane Society. Between January and July, the donation for AHS and WHS totaled $700, according to Bobbie Ruth Langley, president of the company, in a press release.
