Urges voters to choose Henderson for Senate

As our new primary approaches, it is obvious that the new top two-style primary couldn't come at a better time for the 40th District senate race, since, I believe, the Democratic party has seen fit to endorse the wrong candidate.

Thankfully, we are no longer held hostage by the party, and can vote for the person of our choice, one who will work constructively beyond party entrenchments to solve important issues. Ken Henderson is one of those individuals.

I have known Henderson and his wife personally for many years, and have discussed many topics while standing over the grills at the Rome Grange breakfasts.

While we have different party affiliations, I know Henderson to be a no-nonsense individual who sees things as they are, and understands what needs to be done. In addition, Henderson has been a true leader in the Lions Club, leading trips to distribute glasses in El Salvador. Henderson has been recognized by the President of Lions International for this effort.

Vote for solutions, rather than party identity. I know which is more important to me, and I know who has the solutions I'm looking for.
