County tax increase shows arrogance

In regards to the recent decision of the Whatcom County Council to approve a new tax for mental health and related issues, it seems that the policies of King George the third are alive and well in Whatcom County.

Council members just slapped a tax on the citizens without bothering to ask for a vote, basically saying "we, the council members are right, the people have no say-so."

This is so typical of our elite and arrogant elected "representatives." Or are they the self-anointed new aristocracy?
