LEGION: King Nissan Post 7 drops first two at Langley

King Nissan Post 7 dropped its first two games at the Langley (B.C.) Blaze Tournament on Friday in Senior Legion baseball action.

King Nissan lost 3-2 to the Parksville (B.C.) Royals and then lost 3-1 to the Coquitlam (B.C.) Reds.

“I thought we pitched really well,” King Nissan coach Donny Hennigs said in a phone interview. “We didn’t hit really well.”

Evan Fenton was 2 for 3 with a double in the first game for King Nissan (8-8-1). Michael Takemura was 2 for 4 with an RBI in the second game.

The six-team tournament lasts through Sunday.
