BELLINGHAM — Bellingham’s Wergeland Lodge, home of the Sons of Norway for 81 years, is celebrating its many years in the community Saturday.
Performances by the Norwegian Male Chorus of Bellingham, the Bellingham Damekor (women’s chorus) and Scandinavian dancers will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at Norway Hall, 1419 N. Forest St.
The Wergeland Lodge began in the early 1900s and grew, meeting in Bellingham’s historic Leopold Hotel. The lodge moved to Forest Street in 1948, and has been the sponsor of social time, choir practice and monthly Swedish pancake breakfasts.
The celebration is free and open to the public. For information, contact Elaine Grasdock at 734-7753.
