PREP BOYS' TRACK: Storm rules running events

The Squalicum boys’ track and field team took it to Meridian and Nooksack Valley to win the double-dual Northwest Conference meet at Meridian on Wednesday.

The Storm defeated Meridian 90-55 and Nooksack 103-29 to pick up a pair of wins. Meridian beat Nooksack 81- 49.

Squalicum dominated the running events and won all of them outside of the hurdles with Matt Dale picking up wins in both the 100 and 200 and Dzmitry Ryzhkou winning the 800 and 1,600.

Meridian’s Max Crook won the javelin with a county-best mark for the season thus far of 172 feet, 1 inch.

Anthony Reese won both hurdles events for Nooksack Valley.
