Who is in the band and what role does each person have?: Chuck Dingee, vocals, rhythm guitar, sax & conga Jamie Shea, vocals, keyboard, percussion Joe Young, lead guitar & vocals Michael O'Neal, drums & vocals Walt Burkett, bass guitar & vocals
What brought the band together and when?: Playing Beatles music at a party in 1996
What genre, of music do you classify your band as?: Rock
What inspires your music?: Originally it was the Beatles, but we all love vocally oriented classic rock, like CSNY, Queen, the Eagles, etc.
Who or what influences your band's sound?: We have all been influenced by the Beatles, the Eagles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc.
Where have you toured?: Washington & Oregon
How many albums have you released?: One album of original music entitled "Uncovered"
Where do you see your band going in the future?: We love to play music and hope to continue playing & singing until we drop.
What are the highs and lows in your band's history?: We've played at the Paramount in Seattle, lots of festivals, and enjoyed some success with our CD.
Our worst gig was at the Whidbey Naval Air Station, where we were not publicized so no one showed up...
You're stuck on a deserted island and forced to listen to one album for eternity. What album would you pick?: We probably would each pick a different one, but the Beatles' Abbey Road would probably be high on everyone's list
Your favorite piece of musical gear: Duct tape - gotta have it!
drink: A glass of fine wine, because it gets better with age...
additional_info: The Walrus has been together for over 13 years, with mostly the same personnel. (We've had 4 bass players, but Walt has been with us for over 6 years.
