Reggae roots musician Clinton Fearon and his Boogie Brown Band haven’t played in Bellingham for a few months, but they will be coming to town on Saturday to play at the Wild Buffalo, 208 E. Holly St.

The band has been playing together for 14 years, with some members coming and going, but the leading man, Fearon, and Barbara Kennedy have been the two consistent members. The eight-member band consists of Izaak Mills on tenor saxophone, David Carpenter on drums, Bill Jones on trumpet, Ire’ on percussion and harmony vocals, Barbara Kennedy on keyboard and harmony vocals, Jeff DeMelle on bass guitar and Mark Oi on guitar. Fearon also plays the guitar and writes all of the band’s songs.

The band has released five albums over the years, the most recent in 2006. A new dub album is expected to be released in the next few months. Fearon also has released a solo album, “Mi An’ Mi Guitar,” out in 2005. Visit the band’s Web site, www.clintonfearon.com, for more information. The show at the Wild Buffalo starts at 9:30 p.m., and tickets cost $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
