A mix of good 'ol rock and roll and Americana, the music of Too Slim and the Taildraggers gets you on your feet and dancing. Their sound is reminiscent of summer blues festivals, the perfect antidote to the gray skies and cooler November weather hitting Bellingham. Formed in 1988, Too Slim and the Taildraggers is comprised of Tim "Too Slim" Langford on guitar and vocals, Dave Nordstrom on vocals and bass, and Zach T. Cooper on drums. Their 14th album, "The Fortune Teller," was ranked ninth on Billboard’s nationwide charts in early September, a definite pleaser for their myriad fans. Too Slim and the Taildraggers describe their cross-genre music as "whiskey blues with a southern rock beer chaser," for what is sure to be one of the most pleasant next-day hangovers you’ll have. Influences include Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Credence Clearwater Revival and Eric Clapton.

The trio has won many awards from area blues societies for their music and performances, and they are a 10-time winner of the Cascade Blues Association's Best Regional Act.

The Seattle-based band will play 9 p.m. Friday at the Wild Buffalo, 208 W Holly St. For just $10, it’s a show that is sure to be appealing.
