Husband and wife-duo No-Fi Soul Rebellion have made a solid place for themselves in the Bellingham scene with their catchy pop-dance tunes and energetic presence. Andrea and Mark Heimer make their live shows nothing short of a rocking dance party performing in the middle of the crowd rather than on stage, with Mark singing and playing guitar and Andrea playing the "soul system" and singing backup. This creative instrument is "played" by Andrea, and it is a guitar reworked to insert an mp3 device in the front and play Mark's prerecorded tracks to accompany the songs.

Mark began No-Fi Soul Rebellion in 2001, after he was tired of dealing with some of the typical band drama with his other band. He began writing, playing and recording all parts of the music and performing with Andrea. Among many others, some of the band's influences include Prince, Beck, The Clash, David Bowie and Jay-Z.

With a new album, their fifth, on its way Sept. 25, titled "Terrible Muscles," No-Fi continues to keep their following alive and fuel their fan base with live shows and releasing more music.
